We offer Halfords approved car servicing and manufacturer servicing across a wide range of car brands including Kia, using only original equipment (OE) or equivalent parts.
Our highly trained technicians use the latest servicing techniques, and cutting-edge equipment to deliver a service that’s of the highest quality, and for peace of mind all our work is guaranteed for a minimum of 2 years or 24,000 miles.
Will a Halfords standard service protect my warranty?
Yes. We have developed our Halfords approved service to include many if not more checks than the manufacturer service schedules, we only use quality OE equivalent parts and oil which protects your vehicle warranty - there is no obligation to visit a dealership. The only difference between a Halfords standard service and manufacturer service is that the latter follows a schedule tailored to your specific vehicle model, meaning it is maintained in line with your manufacturer’s recommendations.
To book a manufacturer service, you will need to call your local garage and arrange an appointment with them directly. However, if you’d rather book a standard car service, this can easily be done online.

Maintain resale value
A manufacturer service follows the same schedule recommended by your car manufacturer. If you have a maintenance record book, you’ll receive a stamp after each service. Please note that we do not currently update digital service records for manufacturer servicing. Standard servicing can also increase the resale value of your vehicle, so it’s important to have this record book handy to show future buyers that the car has been well maintained.
Original parts
In addition to upholding the value of your vehicle, a manufacturer service will protect the warranty of your car, just as a Halfords standard service does. We will provide a bespoke quote using the exact same brand of parts as the original equipment manufacturer, note that these are usually more expensive than the quality equivalent parts used in a Halfords standard service.
What are the options for Halfords standard car servicing?
Halfords Full Service – 12-month vehicle service
This is a comprehensive annual service for trouble-free motoring. It exceeds most manufacturer’s service schedules and includes 77 checks and adjustments including an engine oil and oil filter change, air filter change, and a top up of brake fluid, power steering fluid and coolant. High-quality OE equivalent parts are used, and we check and record wear and tear items using a colour code reporting system, to give you that added peace of mind.

This 24-month complete service covers all areas of essential maintenance. In addition to all the items included in our Full Service, the Major Service covers items that are regularly recommended by manufacturers for replacement every two years, including your cabin filter and hydraulic brake fluid.

An interim service takes place every 6-months or 6,000, whichever comes first. An interim service is ideal for high-mileage vehicle users and includes an engine oil and oil filter change.

If your MOT is due, why not combine it with one of our services? Keeping the anniversary of your MOT and service together makes it much less likely that you will forget to book one or the other. The pricing of our manufacturer servicing is tailored to the model of your vehicle. We’ll provide you with a bespoke quote based on your vehicle manufacturer’s servicing routine and mileage.

Manufacturer servicing FAQS
Yes, Halfords offer manufacturer servicing for electric vehicles. We cover a range of popular EV makes and models. Please see table above for all models covered for this make. All our EV servicing technicians are highly trained, with specialist EV qualifications and use specialised EV equipment.
We are currently unable to update digital service records through our manufacturer service.
Block Exemption Regulations (BER) confirms non-OE parts do not invalidate any vehicle warranty [EU 461/2010] and that vehicle manufacturers must share technical information and specifications on all components with other parts suppliers. EU legislation aimed at helping reduce the costs of maintaining and repairing your car.
Original Equipment (OE) – can be an identical part as original or same design made by the same supplier but under a different brand.
These parts are designed to the same specification as OE parts and meet strict quality tolerance level set by BER along with all relevant legislation. We only purchase high-quality OE-equivalent parts from reputable UK-based suppliers.
Typically, we will use OE equivalent quality parts on our Halfords standard services available online. As covered above this does not invalidate your warranty.
Yes, but this is only available if you call your local Autocentre to get a quote. Our Autocentre will check the service you require for your vehicle and provide a specific quote which will use OE parts as standard.
If OE parts are available, we can provide a comparative price vs aftermarket parts. Bear in mind this will likely be a higher cost and may not be immediately available – please mention this when booking with your local Halfords Autocentre.
