Booking your 25 Point Spring Bike Check with Halfords

  • We check all bikes: from kids to adults, any size and discipline
  • Carried out by a fully trained technician while you wait, and can take up to 30 minutes
  • We also complete a Free Bike Check before any service
  • E-Bikes:- To ensure the safety of customers and colleagues we only repair recognised E-Bike brands that meet EAPC guidelines. We also cannot repair any E-bikes that have been modified in any way or where the battery appears to be damaged.
 

25 Point Spring Bike Check

The 25 Point Spring Bike Check includes checking for wear, damage and ensuring your bike is safe to ride. This service will give you confidence that your bike is safe to ride.

Our trained bike mechanics will spot any problems before they develop into bigger ones and give you a no obligation estimate for any repair of servicing work which they recommend.

What's included?

It goes without saying that your safety is essential, at Halfords we pride ourselves on knowing how to keep your bike in top condition.  Like any mode of transport your bike needs to be looked after and regularly checked for wear and tear.

With our 25 point Halfords bike health check we inspect points across all key areas of your bike. These include:

  • Frame, Saddle and Handlebars
  • Wheels; Tyres, Rims, Spokes and Hubs
  • Brake system; Levers, Calipers, Pads and Cables
  • Drivetrain; Gears, Levers, Chain, Bottom Bracket, Cranks and Cables
  • A visual check for all e-bike electrical components to highlight any physical damage that may affect performance
 
 

What to expect on the day

We carry out a thorough check from top to bottom and assess all elements for signs of wear, damage or adjustment requirements. This will either confirm that your bike is in good condition to continue riding, or it will determine if any repairs or servicing is required to maintain safe and efficient cycling.

If we spot a problem that requires a repair or a service, we can book your bike in, at the first available opportunity, so it can be repaired by one of our qualified mechanics.

Our colleagues can only undertake work on:

  • E-Bikes that have been purchased at Halfords
  • E-Bikes with certain branded systems; Shimano, Suntour, Bosch, Fazua, Bafang, Hyena
