The Halfords Universal Rear Kickstand can be adjusted without the need for tools and fits bikes with 24" - 29" wheels. With a strong aluminium construction and sturdy boot design the kickstand provides excellent stability and supports up to 25kg bike weight.

Installation is a breeze, with a simple but secure 3-bolt clamp design the kickstand mounts onto the rear chainstay with just a 5mm Allen key. The height can be quickly and easily adjusted with a push-in style button (no tools required) to slide the foot of the kickstand up or down to provide the perfect lean angle. When not in use the kickstand neatly folds up out of harm’s way.

The kickstand is suitable for all types of bikes including Mountain, Road, Gravel, Hybrid or Trekking and can be adjusted to fit 24", 26", 27.5", 700c and 29" wheel bikes.

Installation instructions:

  1. Loosely install the kickstand on the non-driveside (left-hand side away from the chain) of the bike on the rear chainstay making sure the plastic shims are seated correctly. Ensure the clamp is clear of the pedals, cables (if there are any), spokes, brakes and tyre when both extended and folded.
  2. Move the clamp into the correct position, approximately 5cm from the end of the chainstay, clear of the disc brakes if applicable.
  3. Carefully tighten the 3 clamping bolts evenly using a 5mm Allen Key ensuring equal gaps each side of the clamp.
  4. Continue to tighten the bolts evenly until the stand doesn't rotate under load. Do not exceed the maximum recommended torque of 10Nm.
  5. Fold the stand out and adjust the length using the button by the foot of the stand.
