The Halfords Cassette Tool is a tough hardened steel cassette tool ready for some action. It works with most freehub cassettes, including Sram and Shimano. Also fits most internal disc rotor centre lock lockrings with 12 splines.

The tool has a 1" hexagonal outside diameter for use with a 1" socket, adjustable wrench, or bench vice. To make the job easier it's always beneficial to use an option with a long lever for sufficient leverage.

For cassette removal a chain whip will also be required to prevent the cassette from spinning while you remove the cassette lockring.
