Bushed construction
The inner link plates sit on a bush through which the pin is inserted. The bushing is surrounded by a roller that reduces friction between the teeth of the chainring and sprocket and minimises wear. Because of the lack of flexibility, bushed chains are not suitable for derailleur systems.
